My wife and I spent 3 nights at the hotel as part of our honeymoon. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the staff, particularly George at the front desk who checked us in, were very nice and extremely helpful. We were greeted with a nasty surprise when we checked out though. We had agreed to upgrade our room for 600 rand a night but our bill showed a charge for 1800 rand a night instead. In addition, the bill included 3 items from the mini bar that we never took. All these incorrect charges were removed from the bill after I protested. What really upset me however was the exorbitant charge for laundry service that we paid. For a few shirts and pairs of pants and about 20 pairs of socks and underwear, we paid 1337 rand, or about 160 dollars US. For that amount of money, we could have bought new clothes instead. My recommendation to future customers is to carefully read the list of prices (which the staff failed to give us) before having any laundry done.
